Welcome to Pier 68 Boat Rentals (“we,” “our,” “us”). By booking or using our services, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Eligibility & Identification

• Renter must be at least 18 (or higher if required by law) and present a valid government photo ID and a major credit card.
• Operators must comply with all Florida boating laws; a Florida Boater Safety Education I.D. Card may be required based on age and state law.

2. Reservations, Payments & Cancellations

• A valid credit card is required to secure reservations. A deposit may be charged at booking.
• Cancellation: Please notify us at least 48 hours before your reservation time to avoid fees. No-shows or late cancellations may forfeit the deposit and/or be charged up to the full rental amount.
• Weather: If we determine conditions are unsafe, we may reschedule or refund at our discretion.

3. Check-In, Check-Out & Late Returns

• Please arrive early to complete paperwork and safety briefing. Your rental time begins at the scheduled start time.
• All boats must be returned on or before the scheduled end time. Late returns may incur additional fees (e.g., hourly rate plus tax).
• Boats must be returned in substantially the same condition as at check-out, with gear intact.

4. Fuel, Damage & Security Holds

• Fuel is the renter’s responsibility. If not returned refueled, a refueling fee will apply.
• Renter is responsible for damage, loss, or excessive cleaning fees. A security hold may be placed on your credit card and released per your bank’s timeline.
• Renter authorizes us to charge the card on file for unpaid balances, damage, loss, cleaning, towing, recovery, or late fees.

5. Safety & Operator Responsibilities

• The designated operator must remain sober and comply with all navigation rules and posted speed/no-wake zones.
• Life jackets and required safety gear are provided and must be used as directed.
• Navigation is restricted to approved areas. Do not operate in unsafe weather or sea conditions.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• No operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• No beaching in restricted areas, towing, racing, or reckless operation.
• No exceeding posted capacity limits for passengers or weight.

7. Assumption of Risk & Release

Water activities involve inherent risks. By renting/operating the vessel, you acknowledge and assume all risks of injury, loss, or property damage and agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release and hold harmless Pier 68 Boat Rentals, its owners and employees, from claims arising from your use or operation of the vessel except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Personal Property

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items brought aboard or left on the premises.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes, Availability & Pricing

Equipment, availability, and pricing may change without notice. We may refuse service for safety or legal reasons.

11. Disputes & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute shall be brought in the state courts located in Monroe County, Florida.

12. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
